Our attorneys bring diverse backgrounds to our Firm, allowing us to handle a wide range of legal problems. We are admitted to practice in trial and appellate courts throughout the Great Lakes region and routinely travel to various states as the need arises. Our litigation experience encompasses all types of trial work, giving us experience in various legal matters. We are able to assist clients in many aspects of business and regulatory practice because of our attorneys’ significant business experience.

We believe that our expertise in court has led to the development of a successful practice assisting individuals and their families. The Firm’s practice includes the representation of people with personal injury or wrongful death claims, products that are defective, pleasure boat accidents, auto accidents and premises defects. Other practice areas include estate planning and administration, product liability, commercial litigation and insurance defense.

One strong area of expertise is admiralty and maritime law, meeting the specialized needs of the maritime community. The Firm is listed as Correspondent for a number of foreign insurance companies when their vessels visit Great Lakes ports, particularly in Lake Erie. We are counsel to the largest insurer of pleasure boats in the United States. We have handled mass tort litigation in the MARDOC asbestos cases for over 25 years.

Ray, Robinson, and its predecessors have engaged in the practice of law in Cleveland, Ohio, since 1875, when Harvey D. Goulder opened his practice. It is among the oldest law firms in the city and the oldest firm practicing admiralty and maritime law.
